Chapter - 1
Introduction to Computer
Computer This is a device that helps human beings in the brain process. Though man's mind is better than computers many times, still the importance of computers in human life is paramount.
The computer has computed this word compute with this Agra verb. Finding an answer to compute what the calculation means.
The computer is an electronic device that takes input, processes it and gives us the output.
Types of Computer
According to the capability, the categorization of the computer depends on the capacity of the computer, its speed, storage, and storage capacity. According to the capacitance, the computer is divided into four types -
1) Supercomputer:
This is the most powerful type. It has the highest efficiency, storage, and storage capability. Its use is done in the fields of research like disciplines, space science, meteorology. There is a need for considerable mathematical calculations for these tasks.
2) Mainframe computer:
Its ability to work and speed is also very high. Thousands of users can use these computers at the same time. These can be done in a number of ways at the same time. They are used to process very large information. Such as Plain or Railway Reservations, in university, in the insurance company.
3) Minicomputer:
The design of these computers is similar to mainframe computers, but their speed and working capabilities are lower than them. Their size is as much as the refrigerators. They are used for medium-sized trusts, bank branches, etc.
4) Microcomputer:
This computer type has become the most popular, but their capacities are less of the computers given above. For personal work, they are used for office work. Their type is -
a) Servers:
Many times the network has a main computer and it provides programs and information to other computers. The process of information is on other computers. To store large amounts of information on the server, its storage capacity is high and the storage is also large for processing large amounts of data. Some servers are used for specific tasks, they are called dedicated servers. As such, Application servers, Communication Server, Database Server, File Server, Printer Server, and Web Server
b) Workstation:
In some places, large amounts of computer storage are required to store information on computers. Workstation is used at such times. They are used for things like design, advertising, and so on.
c) Desktop Computers:
Keep on the table and the computers used by the same users at one time are called desktop computers.
d) Laptop Computers:
These computers fall into a small battery case and they run on batteries. They are easy to use in travel.
e) Notebook Computers:
These computers are like laptops, but they have less size and capacity. These are used for small things like presentation.
f) Tablet PC:
This type is now populist. Their size ranges from 7 inches to 9 inches. You can command commands from the touchscreen.
g) Palmtop Computer:
Their size is as much as that of human hands. The pen is used as an input device. It contains rheotactic recognition, personal organizational tools, and communication.
Chapter - 2
Desktop Computers
The microcomputer's hardware is divided into four parts - System unit, Input / Output Devices, Secondary Storage and Communication.
System Unit:
The system unit is also called as Sibiu. With the help of this block diagram, you can understand the work of Sibiu.
C.P.U.
C.P.U has three parts -
1)
ALU (Arithmetic Logic Unit): - Arithmetical Meaning Mathematical Processes (+, -, x, /) and Logical Mean Comparison (<,>, =, <>). It does two things ALU It is divided into three parts -
a) Register: Temporary data is stored here.
b) Adder: There is a debtor process here.
c) Accumulator: The answer that comes after processing is stored here.
