For many reasons, many of us users want to shut down their computers at specific times. If you are one of them, then follow these tapes -

Navigate forward - Start> Control Panel> System and Security> Administrative Tools> Task Scheduler

From the Action menu on the right side of the Task Scheduler, click on "Create Basic Task ...".

"Create Basic Task Wizard" will open that new window. Type the title and description here. Eg "PC Shutdown"

Click Next.

On the screen of "Task Trigger" when you want to shut down the PC, select its frequency and click Next. To turn off every night, click on "daily"

Give the date and time for the PC to shut down on the "Daily" screen and click Next.

On the "Action" screen, select "Start a program" and click Next.

In the "Program / script" text on the "Start a Program" screen, type C: \ Windows \ System32 \ shutdown.exe.

In the Add arguments text field, type / s.

Click Next.

Confirm the settings and click Finish.

Now your Windows 7 computer will shut down every day/night at this time.
